The aim of the 2006 UK online centre e-government pilot was to assess the effectiveness of UK online centres in broadening the access to and use of government e-services

Small grant projects

In March 2006, UK online centres announced £2.4m of DfES funding to support development activities in the network between November 2006 and July 2007.

Social Impact Demonstrator projects

Thousands of socially excluded people will get the chance to change their lives and reconnect with their communities by connecting with ICT, with 20 Social Impact Demonstrator projects to be led by UK online centres across England.
